The Cadillac CTS-V is a dangerous car. So much so that it was looking to dethrone the mighty BMW M3 or the awesome Mercedes-AMG C63. However, the Americans are not all about corners. They hate them actually. They hate corners so much that many of the CTS-V units, who were not half-bad on the track, were converted to drag machines. This is one of them and it is drag ready that it almost doesn’t need its front wheels at all.
Watch it launch from start by lifting its front “paws” off the ground. The guy who made this fast CTS-V Coupe did all the things by the book. Front wheels were changed for specially prepped narrow wheels usually installed on drag cars. They are not exactly making a lot of contact with the road, and thus they are removing unnecessary friction and are rather aerodynamic.
With all the drag-car stuff installed, this Caddy ditched its posh and fancy euro-style suspension and did what all good ol’ ‘Merican cars do – teared up the dragstrip achieving incredible 9 seconds time at the end.
And you know what, this one has become the fastest supercharger only CTS-V in the country. Others report that it is actually the fifth overall, but all other machines are powered by nitrous enabled engines. All in all, this is another great day for the U. S. and A.
