IAmAuto is a custom car shop in LA. It is run by the one and only will.i.am – a man who knows the business and is a gearhead. So much of a gearhead in fact that he likes his cars made his own way. His previous creations included an insane DeLorean customization program. Some even mocked his vision, yet, he was persistent. Now, as he considers himself an eco-activist, he is all about Tesla cars. Tesla Model S P90D certainly is a fantastic piece of engineering, but he designed and gave his own personal touch to it and one guy spotted the thing on the streets of Beverly Hills. Thankfully, the guy was a bit of a gearhead himself so he filmed an in-depth video showing us all the major customizations the will.i.am team did to the Model S.
Depending on your tastes, this car is appalling or awesome. We guess many will find the former the best word to describe this creation. What IAmAuto did is created a whole widebody kit with massive side intakes and rather strange wheels. However, we do not know do these intakes lead anywhere. If they do, then we get it. Model S rear brakes could be better cooled than before. However, we are left unsure about this.
See, the front end features massive air intakes. Honestly, it looks a bit appalling. Nevertheless, these intakes (or the things that look like intakes) cannot lead to anywhere because there is nothing in there that needs so much air. So, it is a bit of a scam. Because of that, we do not actually believe that these rear intakes will lead any air to the rear brakes.
Custom body kit is an extensive piece of design. Not only that it “wraps” the lower end of the car, but will.i.am actually redesigned the whole rear with taillights included. Doors!? Yes, suicide doors on this one. After all, bod-kit is not enough of a bling-bling. We need more.
