The Chrysler 300 SRT 10 is a massive beast cloaked in elegance and subtlety. This came out not from the garage doors of car tuners but from a visionary named David Elkins. His creation came from an unsuspecting 2006 V6 powered Chrysler 300 Touring. It took him about a year to finish this monster and its outcome is such astounding beauty inside and out.
The new heart of the 300 SRT 10 is an 8.3 liter Dodge Viper gen III engine and it now has 4 more cylinders compared to its old powerplant. This is paired to a T56 Tremec 6 speed manual transmission and the combination can now breathe a powerful 525-550 bhp. Other parts were also upgraded to make it a true 300 SRT 10 and not just a Touring 300 with a massive engine.
The colossal power that this new engine produces also generates extreme heat and a new cooling system was installed and that’s a 3 inch thick C&R radiator with a customized Sprinter oil filter that tames this exotic car ensuring its maximum potential. Its suspension was also upgraded to Eibach adjustable coilovers with a sway bar kit to help support the massive power increase. A customized Aeromotive fuel tank is also fitted on its rear.
This is one extreme makeover done by a passionate car enthusiast and with impressive numbers and stunning looks the Chrysler 300 SRT 10 is surely an inspiration to others.
