Chevy has been exploring the Camaro’s performance potential and put it in a closed course track. It’s been given aerodynamic carbon fiber body parts which includes a uniquely designed brake cooling ducts, adjustable rear wing a new front splitter and a modified front grille. Lightweight carbon fiber body panels were also used to reduce weight drastically together with the removal of its rear seat and carpet.
The Camaro SSX track car concept has the LS3 powerplant which is a 6.2 liter V8 engine upgraded with Chevy’s Performance parts using its dry sump oiling system. This uses the Corvette’s ZR1 twin-Disc Clutch system from its six speed manual transmission. This is a massive car tamed to be the best on the tracks, SEMA show here’s one unforgettable beauty!
