What is the Chevrolet Camaro SS? In short it is a flashy, quite rude, vulgar and ostentatious muscle car for people who want to be noticed at all costs (actually, at low cost). While the cult of Muscle car grew with the Camaro, GTO, Mustang and the like, the fact is that we have never perceived these cars as anything more than ostentatious, yet highly appealing and intoxicating machines for the masses. This time, however, VossenWheels – the guys that hit the jackpot by creating and selling wheels, released a video in which they show the Camaro in a bit more subtle way.
Yes, it is an SS, it is black, it has freaking 22-inch Vossen VFS-1 wheels, but the video somehow captures all the cool and sophisticated features this car has to offer. Of course, all that before the very end when the Camaro SS had to do a mandatory burnout.
As for the car, the Camaro SS is one of the most popular muscle cars in the US. Heck, it is one of the most popular cars overall and it comes with pure American muscle in the form of a 6.2-liter V8. Naturally aspirated all-American glory is rated at 455hp and 455 lb-ft of torque. While it is not as sophisticated as some modern GM engines, the Camaro SS has many other top-notch tech stuff to differentiate itself from the average. First of all, it goes around with an awesome eight-speed automatic transmission. This tranny makes it possible to accelerate to 60 mph in four seconds flat. With so much grunt under the bonnet, it can also cover a quarter of a mile in 12,3 seconds, which nicely demonstrates its drag strip affiliations. However, with wheels like these, we would just cruise in it. It looks badass.
