Cadillac brings a different approach to their concept cars. They have removed all those fancy curves and tried to look at building a small run around compact car. This is the Cadillac Urban Luxury Concept 2010, a luxury concept who’s playing in an entirely different league. This was introduced at the 2010 LA Auto Show.
This two door concept car has a unique body design which actually maximizes cabin space. Its large doors will open elegantly in a touch of a button; its scissor type doors will push away from its body and seamlessly rotate upwards giving you maximum area to get inside or outside this magnificent creation.
The heart of this concept car is a turbocharged 3 cylinder 1.0 liter engine with an electric assist technology, brake energy regeneration, a dry dual clutch transmission and a start-stop engine function.
The interior is finished with carbon colored wood inlays with some brushed aluminum accents and ceramic materials. Bearing the name Cadillac, elegance is already part of it’s every creation, blue and grey leather is used mostly on its cabin. To replace traditional gauges touchpads and projected readouts were used.
This is a total turnaround from a classic Cadillac but this Urban Luxury Concept is still one such fine creation and it has all those exquisite qualities of the car icon.
