Say hello to coupes. This year’s Detroit Motor Show did not only showcase massive SUVs or EVs, but the biggest American automotive party brought so many surprising and awesome coupes together that we were left certain that they are back – and looking better than ever. Riding on the success of the US car market, Buick showcased the mesmerizing Buick Avista concept. Although only in its concept form, this bold new creation of the American designer team clearly represents future endeavours of Buick and even their youtube video goes to say – “Reimagine what a Buick Can Be”.
The Avista is basically a large coupe with a sleek look and some design details we are sure we will see on Buick cars sooner or later. Also, the sheer looks somehow advise car lovers around the world to enjoy this creation. If they show they want it bad enough, Buick may actually produce it. After Lexus created a massive steer at the show by revealing the awesome LC 500, whose appearance is almost the same as that of a concept car, Buick may do the same with their concept car. Furthermore, the sleek lines of the Avista remind us of nice and curvaceous bodies Aston Martin used to make and that cannot be a bad thing. What can be a worrying is the fact that they haven’t delivered it to the market at the time of its greatest flourish.
The power in the Avista comes from the three-liter Biturbo V6 engine. This engine, which develops 400hp, does not feel like some concept-like creature. Hell, the car (apart from the interior) looks very much finished. It could happen after all.
