The magnificent birth of RAUH-Welt Begriff Porsche cars is finally filmed. It seems that National Geography-quality cameramen and directors were needed to give us a glimpse into the world of the Akira Nakai creations. This time, Akira Nakai traveled to Philadelphia to build RWB Porsche for the 22-year-old Ben Harmony. Yes, it is happening. The dream will become reality and this 20-minute long video is a story about passion, calm, build, Porsche, and love.
If we are to judge a man by his work, it is fair to say that Akira Nakai is an artist and a passionate gearhead who nears the distance between art and car design. RAUH-Welt Begriff Porsche is the ultimate in hand-built Porsches. Akira does not use high-end tools, and the measurements are straight from his head. That means that all the stuff he does is done with his hands. Every panel is customized, every bolt hand turned and every detail adjusted for a certain car. This is a car built by a hand of an artist and Harmony has a lot of luck for having all this at such a young age.
Wide Body kit on this one consists of a hand-built front and rear bumpers, awesome widened fenders, and the car called the “Prince” ride on the Rotiform wheels. Also, special Air Lift Suspension had to be installed to enable Harmony to go over bumps and road imperfections without the risk of damaging the car.
As for the video, Krispy Media who made it, already secured themselves a nomination for the ‘Best Documentary Film’ at the upcoming 2016 London Motor Film Festival.
