The Audi R8 is back and it got meaner and louder. The R8 now comes with two options when it comes to the engine, you can choose from a 4.2 liter V8 or a 5.2 liter V10. The V10 is the same engine that gives life to the Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4 and that can guarantee that the R8 can give out brute force. The power derived from the V8 is 420bhp with 317 lb ft of torque while the V10 is a completely different story because it delivers 525 bhp with 391 lb ft of torque. Both trim models are all wheel drive and they continue the Audi legacy of ultimate traction resulting to unmatched handling.
The R8 is ready to devour the tracks once you switch the ignition and the V10 can sprint from 0-60 mph in a staggering 3.7 seconds. The seats are contoured to grip you into place specially in aggressive driving and as in any super sports car the interior is mostly made of high quality materials giving a sense of elegance. The R8 is also surprisingly smooth on the road considering that it is on a different territory where sometimes speed sacrifices comfort. Audi is trying to reach new levels with the R8 and this will definitely be a car to beat when it comes to performance.
