This is shaped more like than an F1 racer rather than a car but come to think of, it makes sense comparing it to the power it can generate. So what’s all the fuss about the power? The new Ariel Atom is powered by their all new V8 engine capable of producing 500 bhp.
For sure you already heard of supercars that can generate more monstrous power but the Atom only weighs 500 kgs! This only means that this car has a tremendous power to weight ratio capability… it can actually reach more than 900 bhp per tonne, truly massive and otherworldly. To give you an overview and comparison, the Bugatti Veyron has a power to weight ratio of 530 bhp per tonne and the Ferrari Enzo has 434 bhp per tonne. These are already examples of supercars that defy speed limits and it can not come close to the Ariel Atom.
The Atom can accelerate in 0-60 mph in just 2.3 seconds and accelerate giving you enormous power in just one step on the pedal. This race car is never built for comfort and you are looking at the wrong direction if you’re staring at the Atom but if you’re looking for monstrous performance you just hit the jackpot.
