This really isn’t a drag race you’ve ever thought of. Imagine racing a Lamborghini Aventador with a Mercedes large four door saloon (or a four door coupe if you like) – the CLS. Of course, no one would put up a diesel CLS against one of the fastest cars of all times, but the CLS stacking against the Lambo is a 63 AMG. The three letters AMG mean a lot even for an average gearhead and for us who know that they represent the best and the fastest from Mercedes it is clear that this kind of race isn’t that unfair.
If we drop down the facts, it is obvious that the 700 HP Lamborghini Aventador has an edge in comparison with the CLS 63 AMG. Basically, the Aventador is capable of hitting 60 in less than three seconds thanks to its all wheel drive and astonishingly powerful V12 engine coupled with Launch Control system. On the other hand, the CLS 63 AMG has a smaller V8 biturbo engine developing 557 HP and channeling it to the 4Matic system. As it is much bigger and heavier than the Lambo, the Mercedes CLS 63 AMG cannot do a run to 60 in 3 seconds, but it can do it in 3,7 seconds. However, only a slight adjustment to the engine and to the suspension can make this thing capable of hitting some seriously fast times. This one here in the video has been tuned a bit, so it stacked up against the Aventador extremely well. Actually, the Aventador barelly made a win next to this mighty four door Mercedes. Enjoy.
