Alpina sold more cars in 2015 than in any other previous year. Delivering more than 1600 cars to customers, this BMW specialty brand clearly created an ethos BMW will build upon in the future. Now, the Munich-based car manufacturer actually acquired the Alpina in some sense as the cars produced by it are made on the same production line as any other BMW. This proves the quality and the craftsmanship that went into these machines are as good as in any BMW.
The latest effort from the Alpina company is a car named the BMW Alpina B7 BiTurbo and it is the most amazing car Alpina ever produced. What is more, this one is created to shut the critics who said that BMW does not have enough cojones to build a proper M7 car. As far as we are concerned, this is the M7 everyone was waiting for.
The car shown here has all the big boy toys anyone would like from an M car. It has the most powerful engine ever installed in a BMW – 4.4 L V8 with TwinPower Turbo technology kicking out magnificent 600hp. The same engine debuted last year in the BMW M5 30 Jahre Edition and the 7 series is the perfect host for it. As expected, Alpina built it on the basis of the four wheel drive 7 series making it possible for all this power to hit the road and accelerate the large car to 62 mph in 3,6 seconds. The main competition comes from the likes of the Mercedes-AMG S63 and the awesome looking Audi S8, yet, it seems that Alpina is just a tad more special and probably faster than both of them.
