We definitely live in a time where anything seems feasible. Just watch this fantastic race between Charger Hellcat and BMW M6 filmed with a 360-degree rig. Think about it a bit. You are watching this on a PC or with virtual reality glasses. The race going on is between one of the best BMW sports machines – the latest BMW M6 and a massive US four door sedan with the power of the Lamborghini Aventador – the Dodge Charger Hellcat.
If you have Samsung Gear, Google Cardboard or some other VR set you will enjoy this immersive experience more, but even with a laptop, the might of the Charger Hellcat engine will excite you beyond expectations. 707 hp are too much even for the Munich pride and joy the BMW M6 definitely is. Underneath the Beemer, bonnet is a powerful, sophisticated 4.4-liter V8 engine with TwinPower Turbo setup and more than 560 hp. Actually, some even reported that the engine develops more than 600hp despite BMW claiming it to have something like 560hp.
Hellcat may be less sophisticated, but it certainly has the power to obliterate even the most powerful BMW. How fast is best shown in this drag race, where the American pride simply leaves BMW to eat dust. Obviously, the Charger Hellcat is all rigged up for the drag race. We would not be surprised if it were slightly tuned up, but we are sure it’d be faster even as stock. After all, numbers say it can top 60 in 3,7 seconds – a bit faster than the BMW M6.
Now, it is an absolutely different story when it comes to steering and track driving!? Actually, not. Apparently, the Challenger Hellcat (a bit smaller than Charger) set a Nurburgring lap time of 7 minutes and 51 seconds. Beemer did it in 8 minutes and 7 seconds.
