Feast your eyes as a new beast will be unveiled at the Geneva Auto Show in March 1, 2011. This is the 2012 Maserati GranCabrio Sport…and no…this is not a concept car. This is what fine motoring is all about, offering luxury and elegance that’s jam packed with muscle under the hood. This will already be available in dealerships this summer.
For a more unique look, the GranCabrio Sport received an all new front corner splitters, a sleek styled black grille, trident with red accents and revised side skirts. This monster is also available in a new paint job dubbed as the Rosso Trionfale of commonly known as triumphant red.
The upgraded Sport edition received a Skyhook active suspension and a beefed up tuned by brakes by having a drilled and grooved dual cast discs.
Powering this magnificent creation is a newly configured 4.7 liter V8 all alloy engine. The output is now reached at a staggering 444 bhp with 376 lb ft of torque while featuring a 6% reduction in fuel economy. The previous model was able to reach 434 bhp. Paired to its heart is a ZF six speed automatic with the identical MC Auto Shift software that was used in the Quattroporte Sport GTS. Top speed is maxed at 258 km/h.
