The 2010 Peugeot SR1 Concept premiered on the Geneva Car show is a sample of Peugeot’s elegance. The car is an astounding classic beauty, at first glance; you would actually think that it’s an Aston Martin or a Jaguar then you’ll be surprised what badge this car is wearing. Peugeot’s design prowess is put to a higher level with the SR1 concept and more than to its looks; it’s a Hybrid car that has muscle under the hood.
The interior is well crafted and fitted with high quality materials. The cabin gives you a commanding presence of luxury with leather and chrome finished trimmings. The car also features a unique 3rd person seat option located behind the center of the two front seats.
The SR1 is built with a lightweight one piece body shell with a tubular chassis. The powerplant of the SR1 concept is a Peugeot’s Hybrid 4 system, a 1.6 liter turbo diesel engine that powers the front wheels while a 71 KW electric motor powers the rear. The car gives out an enormous 313 bhp, 218bhp of which comes from the petrol engine and 95bhp from the electric motor. The SR1 can also be put into an all-electric-motor mode and turn to be a Zero Emission Vehicle. One sad thing though is that this car may not be looking to go into production but its technology will soon be getting into future cars that Peugeot have.
