Hyundai is trying to compete in every levels of the car industry, from cheap affordable cars to luxury sport utility vehicles. One of their new creations for their luxury sedan car segment is the 2010 Hyundai Genesis. It comes with two options, the base model 3.8 liter V6 engine or the high end 4.6 V8 engine. The V6 model can produce 290 bhp with 264 lb ft of torque while the V8 can give 375 bhp and 333 lb ft of torque and the power released by the engines are still on a respectable area and can compete with the car giants like Mercedes, BMW or Lexus. The Genesis has the same amenities and technology like any other luxury cars on its class, it has good leathery interior, smooth comfortable ride and can get aggressive on the road when you want it to.
The question in mind though is why would you buy a Hyundai? It is because of the price-this is the area where you will actually be astonished, not the power it unleashes, the space age computers they have integrated or anything about the car at all…but it’s actually how much the Genesis cost. In reality branding is a must in the luxury car segment and this is where Hyundai falls because it lacks appeal compared to the bigger names in the market.
